The Yakima County Superior Court provides remote-hearing options via Zoom (and phone when approved), detailed technology-in-courtroom infrastructure, and has adopted e-filing for Superior Court documents. Participation in remote hearings is subject to judicial approval and proper setup.

Remote Appearances (Zoom / Phone):
The Court’s “Remote Attendance Options” page states Zoom is used for criminal and domestic dockets; for other calendars, remote attendance is only available with judge approval. Parties must use authenticated Zoom accounts and join by meeting link or phone dial-in.

Remote Appearance Request Form:
The Court requires a Remote Appearance Request Form to be submitted at least two court days before the hearing date/time. Zoom meeting ID/passcode will be emailed the afternoon before the hearing.

In-Courtroom Technology Infrastructure:
Courtrooms are equipped for remote hearings. Every Superior Court courtroom supports video conferencing; Courtrooms 2, 3, 4, & 6 have enhanced camera systems. Phone conferencing remains available as alternative.

Electronic Filing (eFileWA):
Yakima County Clerk participates in the statewide Odyssey File & Serve (eFileWA) system for Superior Court filings. Ex-parte filings (e.g., Protection Orders) may still follow separate local procedures.

The Court publishes its Local Court Rules (effective September 1, 2025) which include administrative rules addressing courtroom procedures, technology use, and docket management.
